Letters for Lovers
She is the sun that illuminates my day; I asked the moon to pour its light in my cup as I blanketed my sorrows in the salty warmth of her tears. I braved the most flaming furnace, exposed my heart to its heat, and melted the gold of my soul to mould a golden cup for her tears. Her tears to me are the liquid beauty of a soul too priceless to be bought by the wealthy nor held by the strongest. A simple state of being, where one is complete with their lover and unshaken by a desire for another
How is it that she knows, like a magician, the art of moulding tears into smile, fears into faith and words into hope bringing light to the very darkness of my pandemic? I have waited for the day when her rain will resurrect this African dream differed. I will wait till she and I are one, the beauty of knowing that I kept myself for her and she for me will be the joy of our embrace.
In a world decimated by HIV and AIDS it makes no sense having sex and lust glorified in movies and music, it’s like fuelling the very fire consuming you. This does not make sense but cemeteries, the belly of this beats filled with frozen souls 25 million strong and still he hungers for more, it does not make sense stroking the very monster devouring you.
Only in the arms of one can I be safe and on her face I will plant my kisses with the tenderness of a butterfly. Her eyes are windows to the soul of a world broken and scared by a monster too small to be seen with the naked eye, doomsday messages transmitted in infected bloodlines, one wound healed by time while another heel wounded by time so why should my identity be constructed by fragmented souls because of fleeting moments of senseless pleasures when I have her?
The shine in my star, the light in my sun, the breath of my song
It just so happens that her soul finds itself parallel to mine, like 25 million graves lined up on the graveyards of time side by side with all of them bearing the same scar, from the same killer, this does not make sense, but her words enlighten the narrow road only lovers should pursue!
In her every teardrop are immortal stories lived a thousand times over before kissing the barren land once so fruitful but now decimated by an Immune deficiency Syndrome we have Acquired. Parched is this land of infected souls, do open your flood gates upon this barren land i pray, that Africa may once more sing of dreams born by the fireside, that her children may carry dreams on their backs instead of orphans, hope on her shoulders instead of coffins, destiny in their blood instead of diseases.
The above image is a friend of mine that I photographed
and edited. the classic, elegant, flowing, dress, coupled with
the setting some how appeals to me as a good metaphor
and a visual representation of the above poem.

Jonh eleven
This chapter deals with the account of Jesus raisin Lazarus from the dead.
This portion of scripture is a wealth of illumination about, the Glory of God, persecution, the workings of God and the suffering that comes from showing forth God’s glory.
The Bible relates that when the report came of his sickness, at this point it is expedient to note that Jesus had healed many sick people and was known to heal.
The first thing the Master did was to neutralize the negative report with a prophetic Word: “This sickness shall not end in death but is for the Glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified in it.”
Immediately after the scriptures tell of how much Jesus loves Martha, Mary and Lazarus, the Word tells of Jesus deciding to remain there two more days.
In verse 11 Jesus explains what is happening with His friend and what He is going to do, note that this is the point when Jesus speaks life over the situation.
Bethany, the place where Lazarus died, was only two miles from Jerusalem.
When the news of his death was broadcast, “MANY” of the Jews had come to comfort the family, now if he just fell sick and Jesus came to heal Him, it would not have been as big a spectacle as it is now.
Till now Jesus was known to heal, but no one knew Him as the resurrection and the Life. Interesting to note that Jesus used the death of his beloved friend to reveal one of His most glorious attributes, what an honor.
In verse 41 Jesus talks to the Father and thanks Him that He always hears Him, but the only time Jesus ever vocalized what He intended to do in this situation, is recorded in Verse 11(a lesson to be learned here is that every word we speak in our situations, God hears) the power of the tongue.
Long story short, Lazarus is raised from the dead, and “MANY” believed on Jesus that day, unless Lazarus had died, I doubt that as many people would have believed. It will not end in death but in the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified in it.
Something very interesting happens in verse 53, because of this one act, we are told that it was from this time that the religious authorities began plotting the death of the Messiah.
The greater the victory, the greater the glory in attaining it but also the greater the discontent of your enemy thus the greater the persecution to follow, the adversary will always seek to snuff out those beacons of God’s wondrous glory that burn the brightest.
Like a good business man, God will always protect His investments and use what the enemy meant for harm for the good of them that love Him and are called according to His purpose.
So the next time you are confronted by all of hell, don’t despair but rather be reminded of how great is the Glory of God invested in you.

The journey so far
Anything God gives is never easily attained, between heaven and earth there is a massive void that only faith can navigate. When Daniel prayed, Heaven heard instantly, yet it was only 21 days later that a manifestation was beheld.
If Daniel had not set His mind and heart to seeking the Lord, his answer 21 days later might have never come and God would have had to find someone else to entrust the end time visions to.
It’s been a long time coming but it’s finally here, battles won and lost around this project have borne testament to the fact that God never gives up on us and His acceptable, good and perfect will for our lives will come to pass.
When I see God use a nobody like I, it humbles me and serves as a reminder that He indeed is no respecter of persons. His divine enablement has seen me through some of the most treacherous times in my salvation experience. Trials will always be one God instrument of promotion, and like any sensible business man, God always protects His investments. What greater investment is there than His very Glory?
Oh that glorious supernatural moment when God reaches down into a pile of filth and death, pulls out a soul doomed and dead, cleanse it with the priceless blood of his very own Son, birthing it anew and then use that once filthy vessel as a temple for His precious Holy Spirit. It is truly the greatest of all miracles. The effects of which will resound out well into eternity.

and so we begin
The 40 years that Isreal spent in the wilderness was the easy part, the real work began after they crossed the Jordan. Beyond the Jordan lay the very giants that had caused their faith to waver some 40 years earlier. When you have crossed your Jordan, it is there that the true test of your faith takes place.
Make no mistake about it, your faith will be tested, God never gives anything easy, esspecially the good stuff. Faith of itself demands that it be tested. At times those tests come accompanied by trials and tribulations, which themselves are taken advantage of by temptation.
God tests, the enemy tempts, and it is often in the tender moments of tests that temptation rears its ugly head to jest you at your hour of strife. It is at such times that the promise of Hebrews 13:5 ought to arrest your mind and heart convinced that He who watches over you neither slumbers nor sleeps and He has given His eternal Word to never leave you nor forsake you.
Every test is the begining of your testimony!
You have a Spirit of love, power and a sound mind. You are Gods image bearer and blessed to have the fullness of His power and presence living inside you. You are a child of destiny poised to impact society with the glorious Gospel of our beloved Savior Jesus Christ. Your destination in God goes far beyond a secure job and a secure life, You are called to address nations as an extension of Gods heart and arm, His very mouthpiece.. That's You beloved of the Lord.
The size of your giant is proportional to the size of your destiny and the greater the giant, the greater the glory in slaying it.
You are an original, live like one.

everyone starts somewhere.
It’s often said that “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. The thinking behind this saying is clearly communicated in the statement itself. Very recently though, I have discovered that any journey, to any destination, whether figurative, mental, spiritual or physical begins with a thought, it’s like a seed. Within it a seed has the potential to birth an entire forest, but if it abides alone that seed will be nothing but a seed. “Unless a seed falls into the ground and dies it abides alone” Jesus said.
All dreams are birthed from seeds of thoughts, but many a dream suffocates indefinitely under the weight of fear. I was yoked under such a fear till The Voice of Faith sparked a flame in my heart to pursue a dream that most people still believe to be impossible. Fear said “you do not have a cent to your name, how dare you dream of touching the nations?” but Faith replied “I am the currency of dreams and the life force of possibilities, go for it my boy” and I did.
Ten months later here I stand on the verge of releasing what some have dubbed as South Africa’s first ever fully fledged Gospel Spoken Word album. These are my humble beginnings, and this is my story of how God did it for me..
True to his God given vision of “Going where no poet has gone before, all in the name of Yeshua” Motswitla Hlakotsa AKA Tswi, continues to present praise and worship in a poetic form never before experienced in mainstream Christianity.
This ministry is premised upon Philippians 2: 9-10: “Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him the name which is above every name; that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
In the brief year that Tswi has been ministering, he has shared the platform with the likes of: Enhanced, 50 Fifty Family, Rebourn ,Dylan Smith, Remixed, Spin the Flava, Sir J Afrique, Sonic Remnant, C jay, Luwe, Gregory Cassim, Dominion, Ernie Smith, Marlon Van, The Plain truth band and The Arrows. He has also ministered alongside international acts Ken Reynolds (opening act for the One World one God tour), and a 3 city tour with Grammy nominated gospel rap artist Emanuel Lambert AKA Da Truth during the Big Picture African tour.
Tswi has also ministered in the presence of: Dr. Fred Roberts (DCC Founder), Dr. Kenneth Meshoe (ACDP Founder and President), and Dr. Zweli Mkhize (KZN Premier), Princess Rika of Hungary, Angus Buchan and Dr. Charles Ndifon but his most important audience and the center of his focus remains Jesus Christ alone.
Tswi has recently completed the recording of his first and highly anticipated Album titled Pure Jesus Poetry, due to be released on 01-10-11.
Tswi is also the founder of Kingdom Arts, a ministry dedicated to discovering, promoting, mentoring and exposing artists particularly in the discipline of poetry. The aim is to take the Gospel, through poetry into the mainstream avenues within the art world as a whole and not just within the church. The emphasis of this ministry is “Excellence for HIS Excellency”
With all this accomplished in just a little over a year of ministry the future is indeed bright for this young man in that it is illuminated by the bright and Morning Star, the Prince of Light Bright seated on the right hand side of the Father.
